ARTIST BIO

Teresa Durie
Award winning ballet artist

After a year of studying fine art in Sydney on leaving school, Teresa transferred her skills to graphic design where she worked in the public and private sector and also managed her own business.
She again had the opportunity to study fine art in 2015 and gained her Diploma of Visual Art at Nambour TAFE and was awarded the Eckersley Prize.
Teresa returned to art in 2021 and enrolled to attend Artschoolco Studio classes in Buderim Queensland with Jessica LeClerc where she is continuing to develop her style. Teresa won the 2022 Encouragement award at Kenilworth Artfest Queensland for her oil painting ‘glass concerto’ and was a finalist in the 2022 RQAS Figurative Award with her oil painting of Qld Ballet principal Patricio Reve ‘dissected pirouette’. Additional awards noted below.
