ARTIST BIO

For the past 17 years I have been working as a chaplain in a Lutheran School. Over the last 5 years, I've been combining my love of art with theology, spcifically creating an artpiece while giving a chapel message. in 2024 I turned my chaplaincy Youtube channel into "The Painting Preacher" as an opportunity to share the christian message in art form.

Pastels are my preferred medium when making devotional art, employing a simple and strong colourist style influenced by the works of He Qi. I also enjoy working in acrylics for my non-devotional artworks and occasionally journey into silk painting and mixed media.
